Adjustment Disorder

There are times when our mood is low in response to life stressors or transitions that we can’t seem to come to terms with, at least temporarily.  Examples could include a new job, moving to a new neighbourhood or a car accident.  A depressive response that seems out of proportion to the life event may be a sign of an adjustment disorder.  Adjustment disorders can be either acute (less than 6 months) or chronic (greater than 6 months).

If you feel stuck or trapped by a major event in your life, counselling can help!  Together we can look for new perspectives and solutions toward overcome your current difficulties.  I welcome your phone call or email.
